As I look back at the many photographs I’ve taken over the last year, days away from becoming a father for the first time, it hits me that my priorities are a shifting force.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to dedicate a large amount of time, energy and love to my photography over 2024. It’s become a part of my routine and something which has proven massively positive for my wellbeing. While I may have a few quiet months at the beginning of the next year, I’m hopeful that photography can continue to be part of my routine while taking my son out for regular walks and as a means to explore the world together.
Over the last 12 months, I’ve become more active within the London photography community, as part of the Framelines groups, the necessary evil of Instagram, and meeting my fellow photographers out for regular photo walks. I participated in an invaluable workshop with Gustavo Minas at the Eyeshot studio in Bologna. I even self-published my first full-length photo book “New York in Colour”, which sold out to a positive reception within my communities and provided several learnings for my next attempts.
This collection was difficult to curate down to a reasonable size, and as always contains a mixed bag of street-to-travel and the various compositional styles that I’ve tried, but hopefully it accurately reflects how 2024 played out through my camera.
Excited to see what captured moments 2025 will bring.
